摘要
Microbial methane is of a broad exploration prospect worldwide.Overseas studies on microbial methane have experienced a series of exploration,research and theory-formation processes,thus forming credible methods for gas identification and having success with microbial methane exploration and development in some basins.There are large quantities of unconventional hydrocarbon resources in China,Like coal-bed methane(CBM) and shale gas which have been well investigated,but for microbial methane which has less been studied and weakly assessed.Through reference of foreign research on microbial methane,the paper proposed that it is of great significance and urgency to carry out theoretical studies on microbial methane in China,especially studies on the origin,accumulation,preservation and occurrence of microbial methane from shallow source rocks,so as to complete resource assessment of unconventional hydrocarbons in China.
