摘要
The authors’ study of the Bohai Gulf Basin indicates that as the basin evolved from fault subsidence to fault-depression and depression, the driving forces of sequence development changed from tectonic activity to lake level change and climate change. The study also answers important questions about sequence subdivision, the recognition of forced regression systems tracts, and the identification of sequence boundaries. Dynamic sequence-stratigraphy provides stratigraphic guide for hydrocarbon exploration in the Bohai offshore area, particularly for the exploration of cryptic hydrocarbon traps in this area.
