The distribution of basalt, thickness and the current state of development and utilization in the Dunhua area are described in this paper. In addition to the basalt stone, there is a new purpose, the production of basalt fibers. It is used with high quality in different fields. The development and utilization of foreign countries have for many years, China has just begun. There are very wide prospects in mining basalt stone and the production of basalt stone fibers.
