     The digital regional geological mapping is a mean that popularized by China Geological Survey Bureau now, and the working of digital geological route is a key link of it.The development of RGMAP system has already realized the whole informatization course about the route survey,however,it is still needs to pay attention and error-prone during the course of operating the field digital capture subsystem and desktop subsystem.This study will give a brief introduc-tion on the methods and skills of operating RGMAP on the 1：50000 digital route suvery which based on the authors expe-rience obtained in the field and indoor work.
