     There are abundant oil sands in Fengcheng area in the northwestern margin of the Junggar basin. Some mas- sif are composed of exposed oil sands, and the area is about 8km2. Oil sands with large thickness are mainly in cretaceous tugulu group. The oil sands of underlying strata in fengcheng distribute over a large area, and it has steady horizon and smooth occurrence. Oil sands abound in cretaceous tugulu group and upper jurassic qigu group, and it has high oil-bearing rate and good oil quality. The oil and gas of this area mainly originate from the permian source rock of Manas lake sag and accumulate upward along the developed fracture and the uncomfortable surface. The migration system is composed of frac- ture, uncomfortable surface and sand body. The valid sand body is the migration pathway and reservoir rocks. Finally, we give the metallogenetic model which is distal and secondary.
