///Since the beginning of the 1980s,in the Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou region, the ground settlement, the cracks and other geological disasters caused by the over-exploitation of deep groundwater appeared one after another, and has caused great economic loss. It have also become the important confinement factors of the region’s economic and social development. The paper sums up main type of geological disasters and characteristics of distribution as well as forming conditions etc on the basis of the analysis about environmental geological conditions of Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou region. Moreover, fatalness when human activities subjected to the geological disasters is also analyzed. Thereby prevention measures of geological disaster are put forward.
