A Three-Dimensional Stability Analysis of Excavating Slope Deformation in Suffer Areas of Wenchuan Earthquake

As a result of plant-building needs, a slope was dealt with excavating treatment in the region of Wenchuan earthquake. In consideration of its stability having influence on normal operation of the plant and on the basis of rock classification and generalization model of rock mass structure, Fast Lagrangian method FLAC3D simulation of slope excavation was used to analyze the stress field, displacement field, shear strain increment and the plastic zone distribution which could be under the natural conditions, heavy rain conditions, and seismic conditions. The results showed that:excavation caused local stress concentration, posterior border easy to fail in tension; part of the region was in low security reserve under rain; the slope was unstable due to the earthquake.
