Two geostatistical approaches are used to simulate the Rock Mass Rating.

The first approach directly simulates the Rock Mass Rating as a continuous variable.

The second approach simulates the underlying parameters as discrete variables.

Simulation allows mapping the heterogeneity of geomechanical parameters at all scales.

Mapping RMR, RQD, JS and deformation modulus along with the uncertainty.
