Comprehensive fuel cost assessment of blast furnace based on optimization coal blending model

摘要
Pulverized Coal Injection ( PCI) is one of the most effective technologies to reduce the cost and enhance economical benefits of modern blast furnace.Increasing PCI rate and decreasing coke rate in blast furnace is a promising and realistic alternative in the current ironmaking process in China.In order to effectively increase coal rate,replacement ratio of coal powder and reduce the cost of ironmaking in blast furnace,the injecting properties of a certain rank of coals,such as bituminous coal,meager-lean coal,anthracite and their blends have been evaluated one by one in this paper.The results show that anthracite,meager-lean coal and bituminous coal have different characteristics.The injecting properties,such as igniting point,explosivity,grindability,combustion characteristic,reactivity,etc.,can be optimized to some extent with the different mixing proportion of the studied coals.Among them,combustion characteristic and reactivity are of vital importance because they are closely related to burning ratio.According to proper matching and integrated evaluation,the reasonable ratio of anthracite,meager- lean coal and bituminous coal is chosen for improving coal rate in blast furnace.On the basis of experimental study,optimization coal blending model has been established combining constraint conditions and objective function.By setting constraint condition in the model,the chemical composition and performance index are controlled in the reasonable scope,then setting the minimum cost of coal blending as the optimizing objective.Coal blending model is programmed by Visual Basic Language.Main function module of the model contains composition entering,optimizing calculation of coal blending,calculation for fixed proportioning,calculation for changing coke ratio,temporary leave,historical proportioning.Main function module introduction as follows: (D under the condition of single coal proportioning limit,blending coal composition limit ( moisture,ash,volatile,fixed carbon and sulphur content),performance objective limit ( cylinder calorific value,grindability index and ash fusion properties),objective function for economical coal blending ( lower cost,higher combustion ratio,higher reactivity,lower sulphur content,lower igniting point,higher cylinder calorific value,higher fixed carbon content and higher effective calorific value) can be determined and the scheme of optimizing coal blending can be obtained.③ sometimes,the ironmaking plant need assign fixed proportioning of anthracite,bituminous coal or meager-lean coal for PCI.The function of this module is to set fixed proportioning coal powder and then each index ( moisture,ash,volatile,fixed carbon,sulphur content,cylinder calorific value,effective calorific value,grindability index,ash fusion properties,igniting point,combustion ratio and cost) for blending coal can be obtained.⑧ with the help of the chemical composition of coke,coke ratio,price of coke,coal ratio and the composition of iron ore,the comprehensive fuel cost can be obtained under the condition of changing coke ratio.It points out a right direction for reducing the cost and enhancing economical benefits of modern blast furnace.
