摘要

本文讨论了与基础整体论有关的若干问题。吉拉·谢尔创立的基础整体论既是一种新的认知方法论,又是对知识的整体说明。基础整体论既允许建设性循环,又强调知识在世界中的奠基,从而克服了传统基础论和融贯论方案的不足,建立了一种高度结构化和动态化的后蒯因的知识模型。在这种知识模型中,谢尔特别强调理智、构想在人类知识中所起到的基础性作用。另外,她还比较了基础整体论与基础融贯论的差异,讨论了基础整体论对蒯因哲学的继承和发展,并评价了蒯因对20世纪分析哲学所进行的两场哲学革命。
        Gila Sher's basic holism is not only a new cognitive methodology,but also a holistic explanation of knowledge. Fundamental holism not only allows constructive circulation,but also emphasizes the foundation of knowledge in the world,and establishes a highly structured and dynamic post-Quine knowledge model. In this knowledge model,Sher emphasizes the fundamental role of reason and conception in human knowledge. In addition,she compares the differences between basic holism and basic coherence,discusses the inheritance and development of basic holism to Quine philosophy,and evaluates Quine's two philosophical revolutions in analytical philosophy in the 20 th century.

陈波于2017年8月10日至2017年8月25日受北京大学研究生院“文科博导短期出国项目”资助,赴美国加州大学圣地亚哥分校访问Gila Sher教授,两人共同完成了4万多字的长篇访谈《基础整体论、实质真理论和一种新的逻辑哲学——陈波与吉拉·谢尔教授的对话》。因访谈录太长,拆成四篇文章分别发表,本文为访谈录的第二部分。
