摘要
通过调查问卷和数据分析的实证研究方法,探究了军队院校非英语专业学员英语学习负动机情况及其相关影响因素。实验结果表明,学员普遍出现了英语学习动机减弱或衰退的现象,特别是英语水平中等的学员表现得更为明显。同时,通过因子分析得出,影响军队院校非英语专业学员负动机产生的因素有八个,可将其进一步归纳为教师因素、学习者因素和环境因素三大类。其中,环境因素和学习者因素对学员英语学习负动机产生的影响较大;教师因素对此影响稍小。最后,为改善军队院校非英语专业学员英语学习负动机的情况提出了相关的建议和对策。
This paper, by means of questionnaires and data analysis, explores non-English-major military cadets′ English language learning demotivation and the factors relevant to the phenomenon. The data show that the majority of the cadets, especially among those with the intermediate level of English proficiency, have experienced the demotivation during their English language learning. In our analysis eight factors contributory to the problem are extracted that can be categorized as the teacher factors, the learner factors, and the environment factors. According to the data, the environment factors and the learner factors contribute more to the demotivation, while the teacher factors have comparatively less influence. The author thus puts forward countermeasures to tackle the problem from three aspects, i.e., improvement of English language learning environment in military academies, cultivation of learning motivation of the cadets and the enhancement of the teachers′ competence.
