德国汉学家甲柏连孜（Georg von der Gabelentz）《汉文经纬》（Chinesische Grammatik）研究

摘要
此篇博士论文研究探讨了德国汉学家和语言学家甲柏连孜(Georg von der
Gabelentz，1840－1893)撰写于1881年的《汉文经纬》（《ChinesischeGrammatik》）。笔者作为汉语非母语的研究者，选择具体分析研究德国同胞甲柏连孜撰写于19世纪下半叶的古汉语语法经典著作《汉文经纬》一书。
第一章中，笔者主要以现代汉语语法研究的视角出发，由此得出结论：甲柏连孜的《汉文经纬》虽然在汉语语法研究中享有盛誉，被视为古汉语语法描写和分析的杰出、经典之作，但迄今尚未有人对这部著作中的语法做具体的研究和分析，而这篇博士论文也意在填补这方面的空缺。
第二章中，笔者指出甲柏连孜在撰写《汉文经纬》时，所参考的主要作品和前人对甲柏连孜汉语语法体系的影响。一方面，我们从普通语言学和语言哲学的角度出发，论述了洪堡特（Wilhelm von Humboldt，1767－1835）和斯塔恩塔尔（Heymann Steinthal，1823－1899）关于汉语语法的思考和论述，对甲柏连孜的影响；另一方面，笔者也研究论述了19世纪法国汉学杰出代表人物：雷慕萨（Jean-Pierre Abel-Rémusat，1788－1832）和儒莲（Stanislas Aignan Julien，1797－1873），以及德语范畴中汉学界的杰出汉学家硕特（Wilhelm Schott，1802－1889）和恩德利希（Stephan Ladislaus Endlicher，1804－1849）对甲柏连孜的影响。此外，在这章中，读者也将了解到甲柏连孜对这些前人汉学贡献的评价。
第三、四、五、六章是本文的重点，在具体的分析和论述过程中，笔者也把甲柏连孜的《汉文经纬》与现代古汉语研究著作对比。在对比的过程中，笔者突出《汉文经纬》在汉语语法研究中的意义和价值，也为现代语法研究提供了很强的语料参考价值。
第三章主要从现代语法学的角度，描述和分析了《汉文经纬》一书的结构。此章首先呈现在读者面前的是《汉文经纬》一书的目录。随后，笔者论述了《汉文经纬》中第二卷“分析系统”和第三卷“综合系统”的区别，并特别突出“综合系统”在现代汉语语法研究讨论中的意义和价值。此外，笔者还从词类划分、词类活用、语序等汉语特色出发，阐述这些汉语特色对《汉文经纬》的重要性。
在第四章中，笔者对实词做了具体的研究和分析，主要从现代古汉语研究的角度出发，具体分析了现代研究中属于实词的具体字词：之、其、者、是、何等。在这部分，笔者主要论述的实词有代词（主要包括了第一、二、三人称代词、指示代词、疑问代词等）、动词和数词。
第五章与第四章相呼应，以现代古汉语研究的视角，论述了虚词。具体分析和研究了连词、介词、句末语气词和助词。所具体涉及到的虚词有：以、与、也、乎、哉、所等。通过具体的分析和论述，笔者突出甲柏连孜在《汉文经纬》中对虚词的论述接近现代汉语研究水平，代表了当时语法研究领域的最高水平，对现代研究也具有参考和启迪作用。
在第六章中，笔者着重论述了句法。在第一部分首先论述了句法结构，其中特别研究分析了短语和词序。笔者具体论述甲柏连孜《汉文经纬》中所涉及的短语，以及具体的词序，其中特别突出了宾语前置这个典型的古汉语语法特色；在第二部分中，笔者分析了《汉文经纬》中涉及到的句类，主要论述三种主要句类：否定句、疑问句和祈使句；在第三部分中，笔者研究了甲柏连孜《汉文经纬》中的复句。复句主要分为两部分：联合复句（连贯复句、递进复句）和偏正复句（条件复句、因果复句、让步复句和转折复句）。
这些语法分析表明：甲柏连孜《汉文经纬》中所论述的古汉语语法，不仅在19世纪下半叶显得卓越出色，而且在此后以及当今的古汉语语法研究中也具有突出的意义和价值。
笔者在第七章中，把甲柏连孜的《汉文经纬》与马若瑟（Joseph Henri de Prémare，1666－1736）的《汉语札记》作对比。在这章中，笔者还具体对比了虚词：“者”和“也”，同时笔者也强调了甲柏连孜《汉文经纬》的独立性。
在最后第八章中，通过本论文第三至第七章对甲柏连孜的《汉文经纬》一书详细具体的研究和分析，总结《汉文经纬》对汉语语法研究所作的贡献、意义和价值。突出甲柏连孜的《汉文经纬》对古汉语语法研究所作的贡献意义深远，不仅在德语汉学界享有举足轻重的地位，而且，对对外汉语教学和学习也做出了杰出的贡献。从现代研究的视角来看，《汉文经纬》不仅在中国，而且在全世界的汉语语法研究中，仍然起到重要的参考和启迪作用！
This doctorate dissertation researches and analyzes the Chinese Grammar (1881)written by the distinguished German sinologist and linguist Georg von der Gabelentz.As a researcher whose mother tongue is not Chinese, the author of this dissertationresearches and analyzes the great work: Chinese Grammar, written by his Germancompatriots Georg von der Gabelentz at the second half of the19th century.
In the first chapter, the current research status of Georg von der Gabelentz’sChinese Grammar is presented, thus it comes to the conclusion that the ChineseGrammar is indeed more frequently mentioned and quoted as an outstanding workof the classical Chinese grammar in the Chinese grammar research and study. But noone, so far, has analyzed this work with the approach of specific grammatical detailsin the whole sense. Therefore, this doctorate dissertation shall fill this vacancy.
In the second chapter, the author researches the decisive foundations uponwhich the composition and structure of the Chinese Grammar has been built, amongwhich are the linguistical-philosophical approaches and concept of the Chinesegrammar from Wilhelm von Humboldt (1767–1835）and Heymann Steinthal (1823–1899）, as well as the works of outstanding representatives from the French andGerman Sinology in the19th century: Jean-Pierre Abel-Rémusat（1788－1832），Stanislas Aignan Julien（1797－1873），Wilhelm Schott（1802－1889）and StephanLadislaus Endlicher（1804－1849）. This chapter also includes how Georg von derGabelentz classifies the sinological creative power of his predecessors.
The third, fourth, fifth and sixth chapters are the main chapters of this doctoratedissertation. In the analysis and research, the author compares the Chinese Grammarwith the modern grammatical works written by the renowned Chinese linguists,through which the significance and the value of the Chinese Grammar is emphasized.It also contains and provides the great reference value for the modern Chinesegrammatical research.
From the perspective of modern Chinese linguistic research, the third chapterresearches and analyzes the structure of the Chinese Grammar. At first, the context of the Chinese Grammar is presented. Furthermore, the author highlights Volume IIISynthetical System of the Chinese Grammar and discusses the significance and thevalues of this synthetical system in modern Chinese grammar study. Moreover, fromthe aspects of word categories, flexible use of the vocabulary and the word order, theauthor emphasizes the significance of these Chinese grammatical features inGabelentz’s work.
It follows by the detailed analysis and research of particular words from thecategory of notional words in the fourth chapter. The author analyzes the notionalwords according to the modern linguistic research: Zhi, Qi, Zhe, Shi, He etc. in details.This chapter covers the pronouns, verbs and numerals, which all belong to thenotional words nowadays.
In concert with the previous chapter, the fifth chapter discusses and analyzesfunctional/structural words. On the basis of modern Chinese word categories, thefunctional words, which the author analyzes, mainly are in the categories ofprepositions, conjunctions, the modal particles and auxiliary words. In thesecategories, the author analyzes the specific functional words: Yi, Yu, Ye, Hu, Zai, Suo,etc. Through the detailed research, the author gives the prominence to the fact thatdescription and analysis of functional words in the Chinese Grammar by Georg vonder Gabelentz are close to the modern research standard. It has not only representedthe highest level at the end of19th century, but provides the value of reference andinspiration to the modern Chinese linguistical research as well.
The author lays the emphasis on the syntax in the sixth chapter. In the first partof this chapter, the syntactic structure with the detailed research and analysis of thephrases and word order are discussed; In the second part, the author analyzessentence categories from the Chinese Grammar and mainly researches the threemain sentence types: negative, interrogative and imperative sentences; In the thirdpart, the author discusses the complex sentences in the Chinese Grammar. Thecomplex sentences are divided into two categories: the joint compound sentences(coherent complex sentences, progressive complex sentences) and prejudicedcomplex sentences (conditional clause, causal complex sentences, concessional complex sentences and transitional sentences).
The grammatical analysis of this chapter shows that the Chinese Grammar hasnot only been a remarkable work at the second half of19th century, but also enjoysthe outstanding significance in the modern Chinese grammar research and study.
In the chapter7of the dissertation, the author makes the comparison betweenthe Chinese Grammar by Georg von der Gabelentz and the Notitia Lingae Sinicae byJoseph Henri de Prémare. In this chapter, the author compares two functional wordsspecifically: Zhe and Ye. In the meanwhile, the author confirms and emphasizes theindependence of the Chinese Grammar.
In the final chapter, through the research and analysis of the Chinese Grammarby Georg von der Gabelentz, the author of this doctorate dissertation summarizesthe contributions and the profound values of the Chinese Grammar to the classicalChinese grammar study and research, highlighting the significant values andmeaningful contributions made by the Chinese Grammar. This work has not onlyenjoyed a pivotal position in German Sinology, but also has made an outstandingcontribution to the Teaching Chinese as the Second Language to the Foreigners. Fromthe perspective of modern grammar research, the Chinese Grammar plays animportant role of references and inspirations not only in China but also throughoutthe world!
