摘要

The Palaeogene Sinocypris-Cyprois-Limnocythere ostracod fauna are found from 3 855 samples of 170 boreholes in the Sanshui Basin. There are 47 species in 16 genera figured here, including 2 new species. The ostracod fauna is subdivided into 5 biozones: 1) cypris concina Zone; 2) Sinocypris pulchra Zone; 3) cyprois reniformis Zone; 4) Sinocypris reticulata Zone; 5) Limnocythere irrecularis Zone. The first three biozones, described from the Xinzhuangcun, Buxin and Baoyue formations respectively, could be assigned to the early, Middle and Late Palaeocene. The last two biozones are described from the Huayong Formation, and belong to the Early Eocene.
