Based on the statistical analysis of the deep soil element contents in the coastal area of Fujian Province, it is shown that there is the differentia of the soil element contents which come from the nine broad categories of geological bodies. Compared with the average values, the geologic background has a less influence on the element contents such as Ag, Au, Sn, Co and Cu, but has an obvious effect on the contents such as B, Cr, Ni, Li, As, Sb, Hg, Mo, Bi, Cd, Br, Cl, S, CaO, I and Na₂O.
