摘要
Some Late Permian freshwater bivalve fossils, including Palaeanodonta castor, P. fischeri, Palaeomutela urumqiensis, P. neglecta P. verneuili and Oligodon keerjiensis are found in Huanggang of Hami, Xinjiang. The bivalve fauna is similar to the fauna from Wutonggou Formation of Upper Permian in Urumqi and Turpan, and is corresponding to Palaeanodonta subcastor-Palaeomutela subparallella assemblage, so the geological time of the bivalve fauna should be ascertained as Wujiaping stage of Late Permian. According to bivalve fossil assemblage, rock association and sedimentary characteristics, the strata which is named originally as Darequanzi Formation is revised to Wutonggou Formation.
