In this paper, the author put forward the concept about how to transform the geological relics into tourism resource, and then gave the analysis on the motivation and channels to achieve this goal. It was believed that the goal of making geological relics grow into tourism resources will come true through the combined action of five factors like the improvement of people’s tourism demand level, the protection of geological relics, the transformation of the geological industry, the support of national policy and successful construction of geo-park in China.
