///Extended northeast strike, Jiajiayao uplift-flexural fold structure belt in Ningwu of Shanxi Province was 18km long and 5 km wide and formed in the late period of Yanshan movement, belonged to the south extending portion of Quanshan uplift-flexural fold structure of Datongkou. The center of the structure belt was uplifted, faulted on the one side and flexural on the other side. The limestone in Majiagou Formation folded up an axial plane and showed a near horizontal sharp S-type fold, forming marginal gravity structure for the flexural structure belt. The structure was resulted from continental uplift whose core was vertical effect instead of horizontal compression. Horizontal compression brought about soil-pushing type structure.
