Based on a large number of previous researches, this paper takes the history of geological evolution in Hong Kong as main clue and renewedly establishes the stratigraphic columns since Devonian. In addition, it discusses some major stratigraphic units, especially some newly established stratigraphies in recent years. The stratigraphic correlation in Hong Kong to those in South China, especially those in Guangdong Province was discussed and some contents on further stratigraphic work in Hong Kong are made in the paper. The purpose of the research is to establish a brief review about the stratigraphy in Hong Kong, so that readers can quickly grasp the overview of regional stratigraphic division and correlation in Hong Kong, as well as basic geological evolution in Hong Kong.
