///With drilling core data, logging data and seismic data as the foundation, the authors did a series of research on Sedimentary characteristics of Tarim Basin’s Lower Ordovician Penglaiba Group according to the methods and principles of lithofacies paleographic stratigraphy, seismic stratigraphy and sequence stratigraphy etc. It is pointed out in the paper that Tarim basin’s Lower Ordovician Penglaiba Group developed the restricted platform facies, open platform facies, margin of platform facies, slope phase, basin facies, the restricted platform facies is mainly distributed in central, eastern and Southwest in most areas of Tarim Basin. Through the study on drill core, core wafer and seismic facies, draw the distribution of sedimentary facies of Penglaiba Group, the authors established sedimentary facies pattern of Tarim Basin’s Lower Ordovician Penglaiba Group.
