Sedimentary Cover in the Bohai Basin using Teleseismic Receiver Function

The seismic data in the study had been collected from seismographic network in North China for the past six years, and more than 12 000 valid receiver functions had been obtained. Receiving function at every station was stacked. Thickness of overlying strata and V_p/V_s ratio at the stations were acquired using fixed range simulation search techniques. The research shows that above results provide constraint parameters for the site conditions and seismic engineering, at same time, the authors consider the  research provides a new technique for the oil gas exploration and reserves calculation.
