摘要

///The new discovery of the ultrabasic rocks in north of Kumishi provide the important geological evidence for the eastward extension of ophiolitic melange zone in the southern margin of the middle Tianshan Mountains. The major of these oltrabasic rocks are metamorphic olive rocks, appearing as tectonic blocks in ductile shear zone. Virgin rocks are mainly olive rock, lherzolite and augiteperidotite and they belong to calc alkaline rock series. Rocks have generally serpentinization and foliated and all contact by structures with surrounding rocks.  All these prove that the ophiolitic melange zone appeared in the middle Tianshan Mountains isn’t the same one that appear in Channel l- Tonghua-Mount brenstone southern area of Kumishi.
