摘要
Located in northeastern Jiangxi Province, the Qianshan region is abundant in, in addition to metallic mineral resources, nonmetallic mineral resources including wide distributed wollastonite ores. The Qianshan wollastonite ores are occurred in the Lower Permian Qixia Group firestone-bearing limestones and moderately thick layered siliceous stripe—intercalated limestones, siliceous shales and quartz sandstones distributed in 400~500 m range in the outer contact zone of the Gexianshan granite pluton formed in the Early Yanshanian period. The ore bodies are mostly occurred in the form of lens, chambers and irregular stripes and extend for a distance of 50~100 m with a thickness of 2~30 m. The main minerals of ores are wollastonite, quartz and calcite, the content of wollastonite is commonly 60%~70%, the main chemical composition of ores is SiO2 and CaO. The silicon and calcium constituents for the formation of wollastonites are provided by the firestone-bearing limestones while the thermal energy for the chemical combination of silicon and calcium to form wollastonite is supplied by the mesogenetic magmatic rocks, so the Qianshan wollastonite deposit is of the stratobound thermal metamorphic metasomatic type. The wollastonite mineralization of the same type is common in the region and show perspective mineralization potentials.
