摘要
A three-dimensional geological model integrates a large amount of geological, geophysical, geochemical, remote sensing and borehole data to achieve direct visualization and interactive interpretation, and to assist understanding of deep geological structures, providing foundation for mineral exploration. This work utilized measured and interpreted data to construct a 3D geological model for the Honghai VMS copper (zinc) deposit in Hami, Xinjiang with the Gocad software. The 3D structure model was built to demonstrate the collected data, method and workflow of modeling, and describe the ore body shape and main relationship of geologic bodies in the study area. The 3D grid model with many kinds of attributes shows the spatial distribution and variation of copper ore grade, based on which ore body reserves were calculated using the Kriging algorithm, and a new target area for exploration was determined
