The Zhaigou V deposit is hosted in siliceous rock and mudstone of the Cambrian Shuigoukou Formation and controlled by stratigraphical horizon and anticline structure. The orebodies occur as saddle and stratified form in limbs and turning end of the Jiangjunzhai anticline. The deposit was formed in the Early Cambrian coastal and neritic environment, V was derived from Precambrian strata. The deposit is a coastal and early Cambrian sedimentary one.
