Based on field investigation, the authors have found that the Jialapu skarn Fe-Cu deposit is genetically related to the granodio-rite in the ore district.LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating reveals that the crystallization age of the granodio-rite is(63.4±0.5) Ma(n=25, MSWD=1.20), indicating that this deposit was formed in the period of main collisional orogenic setting in the Tibetan orogenic belt. Combined with the previous research result and the data of regional geology, the authors hold that the Pb-Zn-Ag ore-forming process in the belt was mainly controlled by the crust material, while the Fe-Cu mineralization was mainly controlled by the mantle material.
