ace="Times New Roman">The ace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />aceName w:st="on">TianyuanaceName> aceType w:st="on">CaveaceType> site is an important paleoanthropological site of late Pleistocene in ace w:st="on">Chinaace>. The site was investigated and excavated in 2003 and 2004 by a team from the aceType w:st="on">InstituteaceType> of aceName w:st="on">Vertebrate PaleontologyaceName> and Paleoanthropology, ace w:st="on">aceName w:st="on">ChineseaceName> aceType w:st="on">AcademyaceType>ace> of Sciences. A large number of human fossils were unearthed. The skeleton is dated to be 42 000~ace="Times New Roman">38 500 calendrical years by using direct accelerator mass spectrometry radiocarbon, which falls into the MIS 3(Marine Isotope Stage 3).
