摘要
Based on the Morlet wavelet analysis of the seismic period spectrum, periods and their confidence degrees of large earthquakes were determined globally and for 13 seismic zones as well. The results show that multiple significantly steady seismic periods exist for global seismicity, while for various seismic zones, special periods exist in addition to the global periods. This study provides basic data for investigating the global and regional trends as well as the driving forces of large earthquakes.
