Based on the grey relational analysis method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory, combining with considering factors comprehensively, the gas outburst proneness evaluation model of exploration drilling was established with gas data of exploration boreholes in this paper. It used this model to evaluate the gas outburst proneness in the coal seams in Songzao mining area. The result shows that the evaluation result of the model is reliable. The model avoids the deficiency of gas outburst proneness evaluation according to single index or simple comprehensive index in previous exploration stage, as a consequence, making the index much more comprehensive and the result more reliable.
