The Jialing River is the biggest branch of drainage area in the Yangtze River system, it is also the biggest sedimentary river in south of China. The geological environmental issues include the soil erosion, the geological hazard, the unstable slopes of the bank, the silting up of sand and soil. With the projects of soil and water conservation implementation, the soil erosion gradually decreased and the geology environment quality gradually hastened better in recent years. The authors suggest accelerating the process of return the cultivated land to forests and grass lands, monitoring and governing geological hazard, and channeling both banks.
