摘要
During a geological survey in the contact between the late Yanshanian syenite-granitoid intrusion and the basement outside the southern fringe of the Lu-Zong volcanic basin,an iron-rich horizon and bedded magnetite ore body was found in the ZK402 core intersection of 9.65m in thickness in the mid-Triassic Dongmaanshan Formation of carbonatite.Ore is dominantly massive magnetite with filling and replacement relic texture, and the ore-rich horizon and wall rock are associated with limonitization(hematization),silication, carbonatation and chloritization, indicating that mineralization is a combined result of strata bounding and hydrothermal superimposition, and then attesting to the universality of the Dongmaasnhan Formation of iron-rich horizon in forming iron ore deposits in the area along the Yangtze River and in the fringe of the Lu-Zong volcanic basin.
