On the purpose of seeking the main metallogenic sources of the Carlin gold deposits in the Pingle Depression,two typical deposits are analyzed according to the field work and isotope results of H and O. According to the regional tectonic analysis,the contrast of the occurrences among the formations,ore bodies and ore-controlling faults,the authors consider that the infiltration of fracture networks is caused by faults.The result also shows that the structure is the main ore-controlling factor.The combination of “fold and interlayer-gliding fault” model has a special effect on the mineralization.Gold ore bodies mainly exist in the interlayer-gliding faults.
