Image logs contain rich information about electrical conductivity and acoustic wave propagation characteristics of sidewall formations. The image log processing software in the GeoReveal platform can perform interpretation and appraisal of various structures and geologic targets through the preprocessing of image logs, data processing, image synthesis, dynamic contrast enhancement of images, image mapping and displaying, interactive interpretation as well as quantitative analysis. It is applied to the conglomerate reservoirs in the Lower Jurassic Zhenzhuchong Formation (3 287～3 300 m) of the JLS structure in the northwestern Sichuan Basin. This software is rapid in data processing, flexible in interactive processing, convenient in interpretation and appraisal, and accurate in quantitative calculation
