摘要
The recent drilled Well Legu No.2 revealed for the first time that the eastern depression in the Liaohe Fault Depression developed thick carbonate rock series underlying the Mesozoic and Cenozoic strata, and meeting the early Paleozoic in the bottom, which is the important target strata for the "Buried hill" oil and gas exploration. After systematic sampling, the authors obtained abundant conodont fossils which indicate that the thick carbonate rock strata belong to the Zhangxia Formation of the Middle Cambrian, the Gushan Formation, Changshan Formation and Fengshan Formation of the Late Cambrian, the Yeli Formation,Liangjiashan Formation of Early Ordovician, and the Xiamajiagou Formation, Shangmajiagou Formation of the Middle Ordovician. Detailed comparison demonstrates that the Early Paleozoic sea basin in the Taizihe River of East Liaoning has extended into the north of the eastern depression of the Liaohe Fault Depression.
