cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal>Based on the geological and geomorphologic conditions and deformation indications of the landslide at the western bank of Longfeng reservoir in Deyang district, ce prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />ce w:st="on">ceName w:st="on">SichuanceName> ceType w:st="on">ProvinceceType>ce>, this paper makes an analysis of formation and evaluation of landslide stability, and puts forward a control program. The result shows that the main factors leading to the landslide are loose permeable soil layer, strong rainfall and human farming activities. In the natural state, the landslide is stable or basically stable. In natural plus seismic states, the landslide is not stable or not adequately stable. Under the condition of continuous heavy rainfall, the landslide is not stable. Therefore, using the engineering measures such as interception of water, the drainage and resistance piles to sliding are the effective program to control the landslide.
