To study the unconformity types of Dongying Formation in the northern part of Dongpu sag, and their effect on transporting, isolating and accumulating for hydrocarbon. Logging, coring and seismic data are comprehensively used to study, the unconformity type of Dongying Formation in the northern part of Dongpu Sag in detail, and its significance in petroleum geology is discussed. According to the study, in terms of hydrocarbon transporting and accumulation, the unconformity is classified into three types, which are lateral transporting, vertical leaking, and isolating model.
