摘要
Paleoseismology research is an important part of active tectonic research; meanwhile, the research has been an important role in the evaluation of the seismic risk. Modern paleoseismology research was formed at the last of 70’s of 20th century. With several decades’ development and accumulation, a quite completed set of research technology and method for paleoseismology has been formed. As a technology to expose the paleoearthquake’s active evidence hidden under the ground, excavate trench is an important breakthrough.
