According to field work and research, the mineralization characteristics and prospecting indicators of Carlin-type gold deposits in western Jiangxi Province are summarized in this paper. Carlin-type gold deposits in western Jiangxi Province occur in Pingxiang-Gaoan depression belt in southeast margin of Yangtze Block. There are geochemical gold anomalies above the gold deposits. There are following indicators for ore prospecting: Au-As-Sb-Hg composite stream sediment geochemistry anomalies in the 1/50 000, micro-grain clastic sediments and impurity carbonate rocks of Daye Formation and Changxing Formation, structure such as uncomformity, shattered fault zone, closely fissure zone. The geochemical gold anomaly areas in south side of the two thrust nappe structure belts are key prospecting for further ore exploration.
