In order to lighten the contradiction between water demand and water supply, two emergence wellfields were constructed in the Pinggu Basin located in the eastern Beijing City. Continual over-exploitation of groundwater led to a sharp decline in water levels in the basin, especially near the wellfields. Based on the comparison of all the simulation results under different scenarios, the influence of precipitation and the amount of groundwater exploitation on the heads were analyzed quantitatively. The potential exploitation for various parts of the basin were gained and then the adjustment measurement of the amount of exploitation were forecasted to make the heads recovery. The suggestions related to the exploitation distribution were also given.oft-com:office:office" />
