The Gangdise tectonic belt located between the Bangong Co-Nujiang and Yarlung Zangbo Plate junction is a collision orogenic belt that underwent complicated tectonomagmatic evolution from Late Paleozoic Era to Mesozoic Era with ocean-continent during D-T2, basin-mountain during T3-K and crust-mantle during E-Q. The S-type granite correlated closely with uranium mineralization is controlled by tectonic and was emplaced during late Yanshanian-Himalayan epoch. The granite is characterized by enrichment in uranium.
