Evaluation of Hydrocarbon Generating Potential of the Upper Paleozoic Coal-Bearing Source Rock

 The results of pyrolysis experiments show that the upper Paleozoic coal and mudstone in the Huanghua Depression all have larger gas producing capacity. Pyrolysis gases of the source rocks dominated by dry gases. The gas producing capacity of mudstone at 480 is lower than that of coal, it is predicted that the difference is more obvious at higher temperature. So, the gas producing capacity of coal should be pay more attention. The coal has a higher hydrocarbon generation potential.
