Tankeng lead-zinc (silver) deposit in Jiangxi province is located in the Northern Wuyi Mountain lead-zinc-silver metallogenic belt. This paper systematically describes geological situation of mineralized area and characteristics of the deposit in order to discuss the genesis of the deposit. It is regarded that the deposit experienced two mineralization periods: volcanic-eruptive sedimentation and late hydrothermal filling. In addition, the deposit has a close relationship with sub-volcanic rocks (rhyolite-porphyry) and belongs to the sub-volcanic hydrothermal deposit.
