Based on the spore-pollen analysis of the core HZ-S,in Handan region,Hebei Province. The results show that the evolution of Handan region’s climate since the Late Pleistocene form of both the characteristics of the global synchronization, and the characteristics of the region. The evolutional stages of palaeoclimate and palaeovegetation are recognized in the following: 1) during the Late Pleistocene,the climatic changes were from warm and humid (130 ~ 75 ka B.P.) → cool and dry (75 ~ 55 ka B.P.) →warm and humid (40 ~ 30 ka B.P.) →cool and dry (30 ~ 10 ka B.P.); 2) the evolution of Holocene climate has experienced slightly cold and moderately dry (10 ~ 8 ka B.P.) → warm and humid(8 ~ 3 ka B.P.) → slightly worm and moderately dry (3 ~ 0 ka B.P.) process; and 3) occurred in 25 ka B.P. around, 16 ka B.P. around, and 11-10 ka B.P. cold events may be Heinrich events 3,1 and Younger Dryas event in eastern China monsoon region’s response.
