Basin’s evolution was controlled by the tectonic setting of Lanping Basin, and it had experienced intracontinental rift basin stage from the Middle Triassic to the Early Jurassic, depression basin stage from the Middle to Late Jurassic, Foreland basin in the Cretaceous, and strike-slip basin from Palaeocene to Miocene. The characteristic of minerogenic fluid is closely related to the characteristic of basin. The minerogenic fluid shifted in vertical movement accompanied by faulting during the intracontinental rift basin stage and the depression basin stage. Ore-forming materials were prepared for Himalayan phase during Foreland basin stage. Therefore, it had provided a lot of ore-forming materials, and formed large ore deposits including Jinding lead-zinc ore deposit located in the structural trap.
