Based on the matter-element model and the classified analysis method, an extension classification prediction method for risk assessment on geological hazards is proposed. In the method,9 influence factors on geological hazards are adopted to establish the classical and extensional mater elements, and the dependent function of material element and extension set is applied to establish prediction model for risk assessment on geological hazards. The predicting results of the stability of rock-mass slopes are obtained by applying the classified analysis. Through risk assessment on landslide and debris flow in Zhaotong County of Yunnan Province, the results show that extension classified prediction is available in risk assessment on geological hazards.
