The Ningbucun section (29°45’N, 89°36’E) is
located in the Oiyug Basin of southern Tibet. To testify such a relationship of
AMS to the rock fabric, the authors selected some samples representing all
types of the rocks and performed a series of rock magnetic studies. This paper
shows that inverse magnetic fabric seems not rare, and thus it’s important to
evaluate the magnetic fabric types of the rocks prior to interpretation of AMS
signals for their geologic implications.
