This paper makes research on lithologic character association, sedimentary facies and sedimentary structure of the Paleogene in the Kuqa Depression, Tarim Basin based on profile and logging data. The research indicates that the Kuqa Depression in the Paleogene was in a fluvial-lacustrine environment. The sedimentary pattern was controlled by tectonism, fluctuation of sea level, climate and provenance. Sedimentation in the Kuqa Depression in the Paleogene may be divided into 2 stages.
