摘要
This paper of macroalgal fossils of 4 genera and 4 species from the Balang Formation(Early Cambrian) of Guizhou, including 1 new genus, 1 new species and 2 indet species. They are Latizonuphyton jiangguensis gen. et sp. nov., Morania globosa Walcott, 1919, Sinocylindra sp. ,? Yuknessia sp. The discovery and taxonomic study of these macroalgae fills an important temporal gap in the record of macroalgae during the time of deposition of the Balang Formation and provides new information on Morania globosa and ?Yuknessia sp. Most constituents of the Balang macroalgal assemblage also occur in the Chengjiang,Kaili and Burgess Shale biotas.
