GeoWatch InSAR Technique and Its Application to Land Subsidence Monitoring in Tianjin

///This paper introduces a new space-born InSAR data processing technique (GeoWatch technique) which has the following characteristics: 1) complete and continuous coverage to both urban and rural areas; 2) all results are truly ortho-rectified, supporting continuous monitoring in various customized scales and coverage sizes; 3) support ERS-1&2, ENVISAT, ALOS PALSAR, JERS-1, RADARSAT-1&2, COSMO-SkyMed (CSK), TerraSAR and the future Chinese small SAR satellite. The authors processed the ENVISAT data of Tianjin area using this technique, and got average subsidence rate images with coverage sizes (sampling spacing) of 100 km x 100 km (50 m x 50 m), Tianjin City area (20 m x 20 m), Langfang City area (15 m x 15 m) and Shengfang town area (7 m x 7 m) respectively.
