Geological Features and Ore Prospect of the Langda Copper Deposit in Zhanang, Tibet
详细信息
摘要

The Langda copper deposit, located in the southern margin of the Gandise volcanic-magmatic arc on the north side of the Yarlung Zangbo arc-continent collision zone, belongs to the east-west-trending Gonggar-Jiacha copper-polymetal metallogenic belt. The deposit occurs in the fault belt in Himalayan acidic-intermediate magmatic rocks. Two mineralized belts were found in vein, lenticular and layered shapes, controlled by E-W-and NWW-trending faults. The ores are dominated by banded, veined and brecciform textures, with part of taxitic or disseminated ones. Analysis on the geology of orefield and the features of orebodies and ores reveals that the deposit is mainly controlled by structure and magmatic fluid, with good ore-searching prospect.
