Huangshan niobium (tantalum) deposit in Geyuan, Jiangxi Province, is located in the internal and external contact zones in the west side of Lingshan granite body, and is controlled by the Northeastern Jiangxi deep-huge fault zone and its subordinary NE and NWW-trending fractures. The major wall-rock alterations are hornfelsization, skarnization, protolithionization and Fe-Li micatization and so on. Overall, the mineralization is characterized by enrichment of niobium in the area close to the granite body and enrichment of tantalum in the area far from the granite body.
